Are you depending on your web-developer for simple content changes to your website? Learn the three letters that will have you performing magic with your website on this weeks #whatiswednesday.
CMS stands for “Content Management System”. A CMS is software that allows an “Average Joe” to add, edit and delete pages and images from a website. No need to get your web-developers on the phone or take a course in HTML. Using a format similar to your favorite word processor, you alter the content and the HTML (code that makes a website) magically appears!
It’s easy, but the real magic is how cheap these systems can be (most are free). Most also have plugins that can give you website even more power, such as online shopping, emailing and calendaring. Popular CMSes include WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and Wix.
Go get a CMS and impress your friends by telling them that you developed your own website. When they asked how you had the time to learn HTML, just remember, a magician never has to reveal their tricks!
